Creating a Fun Trivia Game for Bachelorette Parties and Bridal Showers

It is likely that the guests at your party - be it crazy or low-key - will not all be acquainted with each other, or at least not well. One thing that all the guests at your event will have in common is that they know the bride and/or groom - so trivia games about the couple should be fun for all.Keep reading to find out everything you need to know to organize your trivia games, from structure to questions - even prizes.

How Well Do You Know the Bride/Couple

Write a quiz - either multiple choice or short answer - to hand out to guests as they walk in the door. You can ask questions about the bride (Where did Anne grow up?What is Anne’s favorite animal for a pet?Who was Anne’s first boyfriend?), or about the the bride and her fiancée (How were Anne and James introduced?Did Anne and James kiss good-bye on their first date? ).One option is for you to take everyone’s quizzes and “grade” them yourself, or (which is more fun), give each guest someone else’s quiz and then go around to see who answered the most correctly.

Survey Said . .

Another idea involves asking the groom questions, beforehand - questions that the bride should be able to answer, as well.Later in the party, ask the bride to sit in the center of the room; you ask her the same questions you asked her fiancee and compare answers.Often the bride will get to hear some surprising compliments, and the guests may get to hear anecdotes, especially if the questions are a bit scandalous or if she disagrees with her fiancée.Who did James go backpacking in Europe with? What aspect of your personality used to annoy James, but he likes now?

How to Choose Your Questions

Your invitees and the tone of the event itself should be foremost in your mind. A bridal shower brunch is not the same as a bachelorette margarita-fest.The more “intense” questions should be shared only with the bride’s closer (in age or intimacy) friends.A question is probably too extreme if it’s something you would feel uncomfortable having your own mother-in-law knowing about - try not to put your friend in that position.Your goal should be to make sure all your guests are having fun - neither thinking “this is way more than I needed to know” nor “this is so G-rated I feel like I’m in a Disney movie”. If you looking for some other stuff for your shower you might try baby shower decoration ideas, baby shower sayings for cake or baby shower games.

Cool Prizes

Once again, keep in mind the tone of the party and your guests’ preferences when considering prizes.Any of these options can be purchased without breaking your budget. If your party is more on the “calm” side, your prizes should be romantic without being vulgar - a shimmery body cream or a pair of pretty briefs. Now then, if the event is a bit racier in tone, you can give more scandalous prizes, such as edible underwear or fishnet stockings.

It only takes a little planning and some creativity to create a fun time for both the bride and her guests, and for you to save money in the process.
